This training will help participants understand and apply their knowledge of the process of language acquisition using strategies needed to teach second language learners and emergent readers. Writing objectives that are Student-Centered leads to students reaching mastery of the lesson objectives. Participants will understand what makes lessons more effective by writing objectives that are used in second language acquisition and that are based on ELPS "English Language Proficiency Standards". Participants will increase lesson effectiveness through the use of hands-on practice to write Student-Centered objectives.
